About Waraku

Tradition and Innovation

Inherit the tradition.

Create with freedom.

Break free from convention.

Enjoy expression.

The Spirit of Waraku

As new technologies blend into our lives with the times, AI has now deeply integrated into our daily routines.

In the future,
I believe that what is important for humans is not just logical thinking but also to shine with unique creativity and sensitivity.

What Japanese traditional culture and art teach us is that new expressions emerge precisely because of the beautiful heritage of the past. Inheritance is not merely about passing things down, but about enjoying and weaving them into the next generation.

Within this context, I wish to create a place where new expressions can blossom.

Expression is free for everyone.
This is also to preserve this land where nature still remains.

Shigisan, the Sacred Mountain of Nara

When you step into Shigisan,
it feels as if nature itself is a sacred entity to be revered.
The ancient prayers, centered around Chogosonshi-ji Temple,
seem to permeate the entire mountain, and as you climb higher, you can feel that energy filling your entire being.

The harmony between the ancient architecture and the surrounding nature, as you step onto the temple’s stone-paved paths, creates a timeless and sacred atmosphere. This place is where people’s faith is intertwined with the mountain, where the power of nature and human devotion blend together in a beautiful fusion.

In the past, this pilgrimage path was bustling with people, a symbol of the common people’s faith. During the Showa era, it thrived as a tourist destination, filled with visitors coming to worship. Souvenir shops and inns lined the streets, and on festival days, the air was filled with the sound of laughter and celebration.

Over time, that lively atmosphere has gradually faded, and now only a few people walk the path. Yet, within that tranquility, the elegance of its past glory and the unchanged beauty of nature still breathe quietly.

We have opened “Waraku” here, with the hope of reviving the lost vibrancy and helping people rediscover the charm of Shigisan. We believe that the new encounters and connections made in this place will spark a new sense of vitality and bring fresh energy to this timeless land.
